SARAH PALIN, AMERICA'S IRON LADY

POLITICS: Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of England, known as the “Iron Lady,” once told the first President Bush “Don’t go wobbly, George” in dealing with the Soviet Union. President Hussein Obama, who spends his life bowing to, and apologizing to foreign leaders, may soon be confronting the American version, in the “Ice Lady” from Alaska. Sarah Palin is politically armed and dangerous, ready to kick ass and take names with an eye on winning the White House in 2012. The media can laugh all they want – at their own peril.

DISMISSED: Of course Hollywood and its clueless co-inhabitants in New York will laugh uproariously and ridicule the “rube” Alaskan ignoramus, as it did in the last election -- as the mainstream media systematically destroyed Palin politically and personally, in one of the most disgusting assaults in American political history. The leftwing idiots even accused her of mothering her own grandchild -- how sick is that? Do they teach that at Columbia School of Journalism? Probably.
But machine-gun Sarah survived and is still alive and kicking. Her keynote speech last week at the Tea Party Convention (SURPRISE: Speaker Pelosi accused them of being fascists, MSNBC of being perverts, the MSM of not existing, and yet even the networks covered the event in that foreign nation of Tennessee), received nationwide coverage.
NOT INSIGNIFICANT: This was not an insignificant event. The “Tea Party” movement (taking its name from the Boston Tea Party against British taxes prior to the Revolutionary War), primarily represents independent voters who were key factors in the Obama victory, and have now broken sharply against the Democratic spending binge and its vehement condescension against dissent. Major Democratic electoral losses in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts have vaulted the independents into a key position in the upcoming November off-year elections when the Democrats are in danger of losing their control on both houses of Congress.
At the convention, Palin gave an excellent non-vitriolic speech, high-lighting the issues that concern most all Americans that actually live in this country, and not Manhattan, Palm Beach and Malibu. She ticked them off, from the unprecedented massive debt this President is burdening future generations with, to the laxity in pursuing prosecution of terrorists, to his incredible failures in foreign policy to the total lack of direction of policy in general – captured by the incongruous health care reform and environmental taxes.
SURGING: Currently Obama has the favorability of 48% of American public, according to Gallup polls. His numbers have been on a precipitous downhill slide from 70% in February 2009, to an all time low as of this week. Numerous polls have shown that Sarah Palin’s favorability numbers have been climbing from 40% in the summer months of 2009 following the vitriolic media assault on her, to 43% as of now, with some polls putting her numbers as high as 47%.
Let us not forget, these polls were taken before Palin’s extremely successful and history creating the “Going Rogue” book launch, and all the interviews she appeared on, and her national speech last week. Also, at the same point in time during the 2008 election cycle (3 years before the election), Obama was lagging behind candidates like Hillary Clinton and John McCain by a huge 20-plus points.
Sarah Palin was only within 1-5 point’s of Barack Obama numbers last week. This marks an incredible comeback for a politician so widely vilified a year ago and remarkably good news for her, given that the numbers are only bound to increase with all the momentum going her way. No wonder Obama’s “Organizing for America” panicked, and sent out an email to all its donors asking for immediate donation, with a goal of half a million to be raised this week, to fight what they called “Dangerous Sarah”!
REACTION: Indicative of that was the response to the Palin speech. British transplant homosexual favorite of the New York elite, Andrew Sullivan proclaimed: “There is a huge constituency outraged by Washington corruption and she now has the critical mantle of the rogue outsider; she can channel Christianism and fuse it with the slogans of phony fiscal conservatism; she will blame every lost job on Obama; and she will accuse him of betraying the troops and befriending America’s enemies.”
“Behind her are the Cheneyites. Above all, she is capable of generating a personality cult -- much, much more so than Obama, because she can harness Christianism to her divine destiny. The power of this kind of appeal -- of a charismatic, beautiful woman, an icon of the pro-life cause, persecuted by the evil elites, demonized by liberals, and commanding the biggest military on earth -- should not in my view be under-estimated.” Wow, it sounds like a homophobic daughter of Cheney-Satan (hiding as a tool of Christianism), has finally arrived in Manhattan to take over for Bernie Madoff.
CONDESCENSION, CONTD: But the condescension gets better. Sullivan continues to hyperventilate: “I never thought Bill Clinton or Barack Obama could get elected -- because of personal sleaze and lack of experience, respectively – but I was wrong. Strong orators with an ability to generate mass enthusiasm can go a long way. Then again, at least Clinton and Obama demonstrably had well-above-average IQs and a wonkish love of public policy. I realize right-wing activists adore the former governor, but her conspicuous unintelligence should be obvious to anyone above the age of 4.”
“There hasn't been a more ridiculous figure to hold American political prominence in a very long time. She's simply an embarrassment.” Ain’t that great; A British idiot who got fired by the New Republic (which absolutely nobody reads except plagiarists) has decided that the elected Governor of the great state Alaska and candidate for Vice President of the United States is an embarrassment. To whom, and for what, please? What could possibly qualify some idiot psuedo-intellectual in New York, who couldn’t get elected dog catcher in England much less in New York to make that judgment?
VULNERABLE: What is clear is that Obama is clearly setting himself up to be an incredibly vulnerable incumbent in 2012. In 2009, after passing a $787 billion (now $862 billion) stimulus package, the largest spending bill in history, he set out to fundamentally restructure American society -- health care, education and energy. A year later, after stunning Democratic setbacks in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts, Obama gave a State of the Union address pledging not to walk away from health care reform, to make college education a federal entitlement, and for cap-and-trade energy legislation, and another stimulus package. These are noble causes to be sure; but unaffordable.
His disdain for the intelligence of the American people is topped only by the media. In his State of the Union address he said with supercilious modesty that the American people didn’t understand his health care intentions because the subject was "complex." He then chided himself "for not explaining the complexity of the subject (health care) more clearly to the public -- despite having given 29 speeches devoted entirely to the subject and hundreds of interviews – in other words we were all too dumb to get it.
ANXIETY: Charles Krathuamer writes that, “nearly every Democratic apologist laments the people's anger and anxiety, a free-floating agitation that prevents them from appreciating the beneficence of the social agenda the Democrats are so determined to foist upon them. Liberals act in the public interest, while conservatives think only of power, elections, self-aggrandizement.”
“This belief in the moral hollowness of conservatism animates the current liberal mantra that Republican opposition to Obama's social democratic agenda -- which couldn't even get through a Democratic Congress and powered major Democratic losses -- is nothing but blind and cynical obstructionism. By contrast, Democratic opposition to George Bush -- from Iraq to Social Security reform -- constituted dissent. And dissent, we were told at the time, including by candidate Obama, is "one of the truest expressions of patriotism."
MAINSTREAM: Sarah Palin isn’t buying that, and polls show consistently that she is more in the mainstream than any politician since Ronald Reagan. She mocked Obama at the convention saying she would consider running for the White House. “It would be absurd to not consider what it is that I can potentially do to help our country,” she said. “I won’t close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future.”
Palin, 45, gained national exposure 17 months ago after Senator John McCain picked her as his presidential campaign running mate. She depicted herself as a Washington outsider and “hockey mom.” After losing the 2008 election, she received a $1.25 million advance, to write her memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life.”
Her campaign-style speech at a dinner in Nashville, Tennessee, was an attack on the administration’s handling of national security and terrorism, even though she stopped short of declaring ambitions for a 2012 presidential bid as her audience chanted “Run Sarah, Run!” “America is ready for another revolution,” she said.
TERRORISM: Palin questioned whether the suspect in the attempted Christmas Day bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit was interrogated aggressively enough. “Treating this like a mere law-enforcement matter places our country at grave risk because that’s not how radical Islamic extremists are looking at this,” she said. “To win that war, we need a commander-in-chief, not a professor of law standing at the lectern.”
Her appearance was the first of several Tea Party events Palin plans to attend. She is also scheduled to appear in March at a rally in Searchlight, Nevada, and the hometown of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat who is in a tight re- election race and in Boston in April to mark the movement’s one-year anniversary. Palin also campaigned last week for Texas Governor Rick Perry, a Republican facing a primary challenge from Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

I hope, that Sarah finds that socialist, pacifist, draft-dodger George from Key West amd asks him -- and makes him tell.
