CAMPAIGN 2012: The historical expression, “Heavy is the Head of He Who Wears the Crown,” is being rewritten by President Obama as, “Empty is the Head of He Who Flaunts the Crown.” This President has never even led from behind; he has been campaigning for four years. It sounds great for a “community organizer” to talk up solar power and castigate those “who cling to their guns and religion,” and are lazy. But when you give billions to idiots like Solyndra, turn GM over to the unions, close Catholic hospitals over abortion, turn the health care system into a 2,500 page Nancy Pelosi monstrosity that creates hundreds of new bureaucratic agencies, decapitate the military, cancel the space program, sue your own states (Arizona) over immigration, give arms to Mexican drug cartels, stand by as Iran goes nuclear, boost unemployment and put half the country on food stamps, bankrupt the country while demanding that the small percentage that now pay all the taxes pay more – you are so far out in left field that the bleacher bums are booing you and throwing  the balls back on the field. With all the pompous dilatants in the media and political world spewing ideological garbage, maybe the time is ready for a steady, methodical businessman to steer the ship of state. In April 1980, President Jimmy Carter was leading Ronald Reagan by 38 points. Bill Clinton trailed George Bush Sr. by 26 in April. New polls this week show Romney leading the incumbent President and the campaign hasn’t even begun – it has all been primaries. The Obama years have been a disaster and whatever you political persuasion, you must admit we need change – and the system says that means President Romney. All the candidates were dismissed as too boring to get elected dog catcher and the firing squad couldn’t even shoot straight. Right up to this week the press army was still wistfully trumpeting a brokered convention as proof Obama cannot be defeated. The premise was that none of these limited candidates could win, and it was best to ignore them and belittle them along the way. It is hard to figure out how the American press, which considers itself intelligent, cultured, and among the nation’s most sophisticated elite – could be so transparently intellectually dishonest. It has already admitted to a liberal bias, and abandoned any pretense of objectivity (which it still had when I practiced the trade).  But now it is openly in the game. Unable to defend Obama’s record as President, it has instead decided to just label all Republicans as racist idiots and sweep to victory by default. They are already declaring his victory asking “Is the Campaign Over?” -- before the election is even held, to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. These guys should be working for Putin, but he doesn’t pay as well. They aren’t even smart enough to pretend to be fair. Salon’s rich Caucasian blue-bloods even ask “What’s Wrong with White People?” for not accepting Obama’s brilliance out of hand. (Double left click on image for full story).

Throughout the Reagan-Gorbachev dialogue on ending the nuclear arms race, the officers in the Kremlin refused to go along with massive disarmament as long as Reagan stuck to SDI, the missile defense system. On October 11-12 1986, I sat huddled in Reykjavik, Iceland in a network TV truck on a frozen tarmac, watching the American baseball playoffs, while down the road at Hufti House, Reagan refused to drop SDI which he stressed both sides would one-day need the shield as protection against rogue states and should be shared, while Gorbry walked away from an arms accord saying the U.S. just wanted to nuclearize space. Today, if you can slip by Obama’s solipsism’s and Putin’s muscle-beach photos you may notice that rogue states are threatening both – and especially Russia is at risk. DARPA'S FLYING SUBMARINE

THE SEARCH FOR GOOD NEWS: The Obama administration is cutting the defense budget to the bone and the U.S. will soon end up with the smallest Air Force and Navy in its history and an Army, as small as before World War One. That’s because he continues to naively believe that everyone loves him and will listen to his reason – no matter that they are all laughing at him as a diplomatic joke, “leading from behind.” We can only hope that someone comes along that realizes that as the biggest guy on the block we will be tested again and again. In search of some good news, we look at 12 particular projects being worked on by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency or DARPA -- which remembers the benefits to civilian technology from efforts to improve our performance on the battlefield or space.(Double left click on image for full story).

The second half of the campaign has almost caught up with us, as the tedium of the debates has sawed away almost daily. Obama has no choice but to run on his totally dismal record. The Democratic press has stopped even pretending to be objective – so there is nothing to read. The Republicans are unimpressive and there is no Ronald Reagan to sweep the field. But the GOP candidates keep swapping primary wins, and after Gingrich’s impressive win last week in South Carolina, -- there is actually a chance the Republicans could end up at open convention with no clear winner at all in sight. That would further muddle one of the already most boring races ever. More than half say they wish it was already over. That’s the new “American Exceptionalism”—stay home. CAMPAIGN 2012: Predictably, with the full campaign bearing down on us and the Iowa caucus just days away (Jan. 3), the lapdog press is rallying to propagandize Obama into a second term, so that he can finish the destruction of America that he has already started in earnest. The “mainstream” press is suddenly full of stories about the lackluster Republicans self-destructing, and growing confidence among the East Wing minions that they can pull off re-election of a man who has turned the entire national economy into a Ponzi scheme. His motto is “Pay out what you don’t have, and promise more.” MSNBC has Al Sharpton and the rest of its corrupt anchors attacking Republicans in on-the-air ads, without registering as a political PAC. This is journalism? Polls show 70 percent of Americans wish the election was over – “Yes We Can What?”(Double left click on image for full story).

SPEAKING THE TRUTH:At some point, even this society of avaricious, selfish, pseudo-intellectual spoiled brats is going to recognize that it is racing for disaster. Now, if you love America, soon you may almost have to leave it. The time has come to state the obvious: When this incompetent buffoon in the White House – along with his larcenous, union thug-buddies, and infantile liberal policy class-war chums – is through, we will all have to be multi-lingual.  We will have to speak mandarin to talk to the Chinese who own us, classic Greek to explain why we are bankrupt and still on strike against ourselves, Arabic to explain to the Mideast why we want to pay exorbitant amounts in order to prevent our own energy independence by stopping ourselves from drilling, Portuguese to tell Brazil why we are sending our drilling firms to their country to keep them out of here, Filipino to communicate with our national workforce taxed out of America, Spanish to press 1 for English on the national tape machine, Esperanto to tell the UN why have become the dumbest, poorest, most useless country on earth while appointing ourselves to police their environments – and then Chinese again to try to borrow more money for Obama, Jimmy Hoffa Jr., the teacher’s union, and the rich “progressives,” to “off us” because we have gone “soft.” (Double left click on image for full story)

CAMPAIGN 2012: "How are we going to survive as Obama sleepwalks into the past? He’s already suffering second-term letdowns, and the rumor is that he is lining up a job teaching economics at Community Organizer University in Pyongyang.  The “birthers” in Kenya are now insisting he was born in the United States.

SOS: Increasingly the nation is suffering from a severe case of SOS; (“Surviving Obama Syndrome.”)  Republicans are fed up with the economic catastrophe he has unleashed, (Blame Bush if you want to, but it is undeniable the Great Savior has made things demonstrably worse); Independents are disgusted with his dearth of ideas about addressing the nation’s ills; and Democrats complain bitterly that he hasn’t been radical enough. This guy can’t buy a break, even after borrowing trillions of dollars. Obama is sleepwalking into the past.
