Historically they end up defining each other. And therein lies the rub; which wins this time around in our short history?

POINTS OF ORDER: This administration is clearly determined to destroy American private industry – from nationalizing GM to taxing everyone to death to banning all off-shore drilling. The list of crazy decisions is nearly endless and increasingly unpopular. Louisiana for example, will lose 40 percent of its revenue if the drilling ban passes, and every Democrat in the state believes that Obama is trying to exploit the Gulf crisis to pass Cap-and-Trade before the Party is destroyed in November. The EPA now wants to tax every firm making over $2 million to pay for the Superfund. None of this makes any political sense, unless you don’t care what anyone thinks and want to change the country forever while you have the chance. Come Nov. 2, all of this is going to be stopped – and reversed. This guy makes Stalin look fair: Consider the list:

ALL THE NEWS THAT'S NOT FIT TO PRINT:  How much nonsense can we tolerate? A responsible newspaper might say, “Americans need jobs and the President is a fool, squandering America’s future, under the direction of an ex-Israeli soldier ready to move back to Chicago to replace Al Capone.”  But not the NYT. As the nation dissolves, the New York Times and the genius, Arthur Sulzberger, continue to patronize us; if this were a high school J course (Goodman article below) would flunk; but so would the entire paper -- which Arthur has personally destroyed. I once left him drunk in a gutter on Fleet Street in London where he was pretending to be a foreign correspondent– should have dropped him in the Thames in the best interests of our nation. Priceless reality, miles of gibberish which goes on for pages. And blah, blah, blah by someone from Harvard who tripped in an airport. No wonder nobody reads that trash anymore. NYT “All the Tripe Fit to Print.” No editors or judgment in sight. Just read the compendium of drivel below.

POLITICS: They say one day can be a lifetime in politics. Obama hasn’t even been behind the Oval Office desk for 18 months and he is already a haunted apparition of the man who sent homoerotic chills up Chirs Matthews leg and had the Democrats and their media lapdogs swooning nationwide. The President’s approval ratings continue their steady inexorable decline, 60.7 percent believe the country is headed for hell in a hand basket, and his handling of the oil spill has disapproval ratings far greater than Bush on Katrina. He ran as a “progressive” who would make everybody rich overnight without working and against the handling of Katrina and the war in Iraq, while promising a new global love in. Now he’s given all the money away and soon won’t be able to borrow any more – he and the nation are about to become homeless; he is soaking in oil and getting hammered in Afghanistan and they are laughing at him out loud from Paris to Pago Pago. If this were a fight, they’d stop it.

SPORTS FLASH (II): There is major activity afoot in big time college football. We have already noted that conferences are furiously expanding in search of even more TV revenue. Meanwhile the NCAA continues to penalized schools for cheating; USC is the latest to be sanctioned. What we look at here is how good academic schools cheat to make money, and some mediocre academic ones make an honest effort to teach their players something of value.  There are some shocking examples. For example, the NCAA says Michigan, the 27^the best school academically according to US News, has the second worst record for athletic compliance in the country.

Multi-million dollar contracts are at stake, and at many schools sports revenue plays a crucial role in funding academic programs. Meanwhile, the NCAA continues to pretend this is all about “scholar athletes,” even as top schools are penalized for virtually paying 350 pound “kids” to play ball. USC is the latest to be sanctioned, and what is interesting is that the case symbolizes how some good schools cheat the most, and some mediocre academic ones make an effort to really teach their players something of value.

SHIP OF FOOLS: With friends like this, Obama should just turn in his Passport and move to Havana . Longtime White House correspondent Helen Thomas said last week Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and go back to Poland and Germany. Remember these people are occupied and it’s their land,” Thomas said. “It’s not German and it’s not Polish.” Asked what Jews in Israel should do, Thomas said “go to Poland, Germany or America and everywhere else.” YOUR PRESIDENT LAUGHED. (Thomas has since apologized on her web site).

But they can't because he is merrily bringing them all here, When they all get citizenshp they will deport him back to Tijuana -- for being stupid. Then he will try to sneak back in -- or move to Poland with Rahm Emmanual and Helen Thomas. Billy and Jimmy Carter couldn't make this stuff up.

● Immigration: Fox News reports that while Obama is babbling about racial profiling, the FBI is on full alert on the Arizona border over OTM’s. That means “Other Than Mexicans,” as the federal government’s TOTAL avoidance of immigration and its absurd obsession with “minority rights,” has turned our borders into a joke. The patients are running the insane asylum called Washington.

BREAKING LAWS: In other words, the President has instructed his officials to break the laws Congress has already passed.
