Mr. Mullin left U.S. News & World Report as Chief White House Correspondent and held the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Press Fellow Chair at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Among his assignments were: The Lebanese civil war; the war on the Horn of Africa; the Iranian revolution and fall of the Shah; the invasion of Grenada; the Falklands War; the Iran-Iraq War, and the petro-dollar boom. He has interviewed the Shah of Iran; King Hussein of Jordan; Saddam Hussein of Iraq; King Fahd of Saudi Arabia; Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres of Israel; the PLO's Yasser Arafat, Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines, many cabinet-level officials around the world and most recently the Sultan of Oman and President Glafcos Clerides of Cyprus.
